Direct Employment Pipeline

A unique academic partnership with Community Health Network offering an accelerated path for students to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree in just three years.

What’s better than getting a world-class college education? How about also knowing that there’s a guaranteed career waiting for you after graduation? That’s exactly what you get at the University of Indianapolis. We call it the direct employment pipeline. It all starts with a close proximity to downtown Indianapolis and your access to corporate partnerships and networking opportunities.

The Nursing Academy is a great example of this. It’s a unique academic partnership with Community Health Network – an Indianapolis-based health network ranked among the nation’s most innovative health care systems –  that offers an accelerated path for students to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree in just three years. And we’re talking hands-on experience in real clinical environments, not just abstract principles in a classroom. In fact, Nursing Academy students are employed on a part-time basis as interns with Community Health Network, allowing them to earn an income while also being immersed in the clinical setting and culture of a healthcare facility. It’s learning combined with professional experience that results in full-time employment as a registered nurse upon graduation.

And even more exciting partnerships are in the works, including an exclusive program with Roche Diagnostics, the world’s largest biotech company whose U.S. headquarters are located right here in Indianapolis.

College should be more than what you learn on campus, it should be an introduction to the professional world around you that provides a direct pipeline to what’s next. At UIndy, you’ll have a direct opportunity to harness your passion and build toward your future career.
