Treasure was a pleasure

Recent grad and Illustrator, Emily Seaton

Who says Honors projects can’t be fun? Jenn Meadows and recent grad Emily Seaton opted for the academic challenge of Honors College to graduate with distinction, which requires a final project. They pooled their talents to create The Treasures of Indianapolis, a children’s book. “When I was little,” says Jenn, a senior Communications major, “I wanted to be J. K. Rowling. My career goals have changed, but thanks to the Honors College, I was able to fulfill a dream of writing my own children’s book.” Writing and publishing the book was “surprisingly challenging,” says Emily, an Art Education major. “At points it seemed like it would never come together, but after much collaboration, planning, creating, and printing, we have a finished project—and that’s a great feeling.”
