Student voice

Leading the way

Whether she’s representing the student body at the president’s inauguration, contributing on various committees, or running Indianapolis Student Government meetings, DyNishia Miller, student body president, has been well known for her involvement and contributions on campus, even when she was a freshman. The Communications major has been a member of the Speech Team and treasurer of the Black Student Association, studied abroad in Seville, Spain, and found time to participate on the Homecoming Court last fall. Most of her time is dedicated to representing her fellow students whenever possible. “I take my job as being the student voice very seriously,” she says. “Every meeting I attend on behalf of the students, I’m constantly thinking, ‘How will this affect students?’”
