It’s a snap

Seeing is believing

Occupational Therapy student Lauren Chilman has a passion for capturing priceless moments with her camera. So when it was time to start her Honors project, photography was the obvious choice. She shot five locations at her childhood home over a nine-month period, then showcased the results in an exhibition at the student gallery on campus. “I was inspired by the idea of documenting seasonal changes,” Lauren says, “because I believe I’m able to capture what you can’t see with your eyes alone.” As a member of the Honors College, Lauren has also enjoyed other unique opportunities, such as taking American Sign Language classes and traveling to Japan for a Spring Term trip.
